Are you prepared for Jesus’s arrival?
Do you have your wedding garment (on)?
Do you have enough oil in your lamp to sustain your pilgrim walk in this life?
Are you wise enough to make Godly decisions so that you are ready when the master returns?
Is the Spirit of God leading or are you leading your own life?
These are some of the questions I want to forward to you today. It is time for you to do an in-depth inspection of your spiritual alignment with God before at the end of time, you realize that you weren’t ready for his coming. Today, the kingdom of God is come upon you, but are you ready to walk and live in his kingdom?
What or whose kingdom are you living in?
Are you living a life to please the flesh, or are you living a life in the spirit?
These are some of the introspective questions which need to be answered by every man, woman, boy, and girl. I am glad that you can join me today. I believe the Lord has placed me here at such a time as this to prepare you for his arrival. It’s not a mistake that you are reading this blog, but it is a divine setup. It is God’s plan so that you can be prepared and not get left behind; because the truth is that many Christians will be left behind. And it will be based on the unwise decision they made after they received the knowledge and revelation of God’s word.
Matthew 25:1-13
‘ Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. ‘
Here we see a descriptive illustration that Jesus paints about a group of women (10 in total) who knew about and accepted the bridegroom’s invitation to his wedding, but when the time came, 5 of these women showed up at the marriage after the door was closed.
This is a moving illustration that makes us wonder how could these 5 women get to this point, thinking that they were ready when in fact, they were not because they did not even have enough oil for their lamps to take them through the night. When the trumpet was sound, they rose with an instant realization that they weren’t ready because the anointing they needed to take them to the finish line was not enough.
What you have to understand is that every story or parable Jesus ever told had a spiritual connotation and not a natural one. This oil signified the spiritual stamina they needed to endure the circumstances of life meanwhile staying true to the call of God in their lives.
The lack of oil signified that the foolish virgin did not have enough of the word and revelation of God in them that would move them to make a proper and wise decision. It speaks of them not submitting and allowing the spirit of God to lead and guide their lives. It speaks of them not having an intense prayer life or not walking in a covenant relationship with God.
1 Thessalonians 5:2-3
‘For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. ‘
2 Peter 3:10
‘But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. ‘
Revelation 16:15
‘Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.’
As I prepared to minister to you today, the Lord placed this in my spirit to let you know that he is coming soon, and only those who are ready will be let into his wedding banquet. But everyone else will be left behind. You must observe the time and see that the time of the master’s coming is short; the master is at the door knocking, will you open? He is calling, will you answer?
Will you step out in faith and follow him, leaving your past behind and grab a hold of your future in the kingdom of God?
Will you step into the promised land which is flowing with milk and honey, wealth, and prosperity?
Will you put on your wedding garment and come out to the wedding feast when it is time to dine with your master and your God?
It’s time for you to move from the ordinary to the extraordinary.
It’s time for you to move from the natural to the supernatural.
It’s time for you to not worry about people’s opinions of you and trust your master alone to lead you into the essence of who he is.
Listen, the unwise will be left behind; why? Because they did not take the master’s word seriously. So I pray that you take this words seriously and be amount the believers who trust, follow and waiting upon Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior.
