2 Corinthians 1:21-22
“Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.”
Ephesians 4:30
“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”
Leviticus 12:3
“And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.”
In the Old Testament, circumcision was the seal that God instituted to confirm and guarantee his covenant with Abraham. Without a male being circumcised he couldn’t be a part of the Jewish nation, (God’s chosen people). Circumcision was the seal or sign that was used to bind and establish the covenant between God and the Israelites.
Roman 2:28-29
“For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: but he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.”
Jesus had made us free to magnify and glory his Holy name; wherein we are freed from the yoke of the ceremonial law and the curse of the moral law.
Jesus has discharged us from the obligation of the carnal ordinances which were imposed on the Jews.
We must stand fast in liberty wherein Christ Jesus had made you free.
The Lord requires us to always bear fruits. He doesn’t want us to bear the fruit of the world, but He requires us to bear a special kind of fruit that must be nourished and protected by the Holy Spirit.
The sending of the Holy Spirit is God’s way of sealing the deal and making it clear that he was satisfied with Jesus’s redemptive work and guaranteeing the fulfillment of those promises made through Jesus Christ’s ministry.
Our protection comes from the Lord Jesus.
He is the one who called, sanctified and commissioned us to be kingdom ambassadors here on earth.
The Lord has called us to do great exploits and to enforce the laws, art, culture and language of the kingdom of God here on the earth.
The sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit is not a one-time thing but it is continuous.
He (Holy Spirit) will continue to work on and in you until you become spiritually conscious of your true identity in God.
Not being conscious of what God is saying or doing is very destructive to a Christian destiny.
Jesus came to prevent this from happening, he did this by regenerating and re-aligning us back to God.
Once you believe and engage your God’s given destiny, nothing or no one will be able to stop you from excelling in the things about the kingdom.
God’s plans and purposes for you will be done on the Earth as it is written in the Heavens. God alone has the blueprint for your destiny and he alone is the solution to your problems.
Why do you think people go to witches, palm readers and diviners? They do it because they are seeking answers that can show them the path that leads to happiness and success.
If the church was playing its rightful role. Then the world would come to her for they have the solution to the world’s problems.
But because the believers are trying to be Christian while living like the world; no one sees them as the place to seek and find the truth.
Thank God that we are separated and sealed by his spirit to win and not to lose.
A seal is necessary to keep content free of contamination from outside forces, a seal is instituted to preserve the quality of content, a seal is put in place to keep content from spilling unnecessarily, and a seal is put in place to let others know that the content on the inside has not been tampered with and is still in it’s manufactured state. It is a stamp or sign of ownership.
We must be the light and salt of the earth. We are sealed with the Holy Spirit which means that the Holy Spirit is working in, with and through us.
The Holy Spirit by the grace of God is doing his part in carrying out the work of regeneration, sanctification and restoration.
Having God’s seal (mark) confirms that you belong to him and that the work of restoration has already begun also having God’s seal guarantees you receive God’s protection, provisions and directions.
This means that without the seal of God, the government of heaven will not be able to speak and work on your behalf.
Holy Spirit lives in you and he is also resting upon you as a seal to keep you from worldly contamination. This means the fire is in you and the fire is around you. The more you fuel the fire of the Holy Spirit through prayer, humility, sacrifice, and worship the more he will purify and exalt you. And his presence and power in your life will be undeniable and unmovable.
An Ignorant person will say the Holy Spirit’s work is not necessary for today’s age or “the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit is necessary, but this Pentecostal empowerment and tongues speak business is foolishness.”
What I have learned in life is that if a person desires to become a citizen of another country. He/she must learn the laws, the arts, the culture, and the language of that country. Without knowing these they will not be able to function as they should and they will become confused and ignorant of everything that pertains to that country.
The Holy Spirit is the one who teaches the believers the laws, the arts, the culture and the language of the kingdom of God.
John14:26
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
What things will the Holy Spirit teach you? the things of the Kingdom of God. That means the Holy Spirit’s job is to teach you how to speak, dress, walk and how you should behave.
His job is to make sure you become a reflection and carrier of God’s presence and glory. As a child of God, the Lord is with you and for you and no weapon fashion against shall be able to prosper.
