Be careful who you allow into your space because unbelief can frustrate breakthrough.

Mark 9:17-29

The Bible says that Jesus returns to find his disciples, in perplexity and the scribes ridiculing them. And this happen because the disciples failed to cast demons out of a young boy.

Firstly, the scribes did not like Jesus neither did they like his disciples.

And secondly, the scribes were not there because they had faith in Jesus and want to give God’s glory. But they were there to persecute and ridicule his disciples and to manifest their unbelief in Jesus’s doctrine and methods.

The scriptures also said that the people were amazed to see Jesus and they run to and saluted him.

Many of these same people were only there just to see if Jesus could do what his disciples failed to do, and Jesus knew this. 

Jesus knew the hearts of these people; even though they cheer or celebrated him at this moment that doesn’t mean that they believed in his doctrines and Lordship.

What is unbelief: 

In the earthly context Unbelief is the absence of faith but in the spiritual context unbelief is the absence of complete faith in God.

I am pointing out this to you because there is an earthly faith and God-ordain faith.

Faith is a lack of unshakable trust in God.

Faith is the life force of those who are born of God (who are born of the spirit), but unbelief in the things of God is the state of man’s fallen and corrupt nature. 

Unbelief by itself has the power and the potential to terminate a person’s destiny.

Unbelief is like cancer; it has the potential to eradicate the residue of faith. 

Unbelief is like nuclear waste wherever it spills, that place becomes contaminated and most often lifeless.

Say after me:

I will not pray to God for anything that I cannot believe him for

Say after me:

I will be careful of who I allow into my personal space.

Whom Christ cures, he cures effectually. Satan will do anything to regain control of a person who he was cast out of; but if Christ cast him out, he will keep him out.

Here we see Jesus having compassion for a father whose son had a dumb spirit.

Mark 5:41

“And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.”

Unbelief is the opposite of faith and where unbelief exists you will also find sin

Unbelief and rebellion walk on the same path; the scriptures tell us in 1 Samuel 15:23 that rebellion is like the sin of witchcraft.

Let me lay this on you: unbelief is rebellion against God.

It is difficult or even impossible for a child of God to manifest God’s powers in a place where unbelief resides.

If you want to see the blessings of God on your life dwindle, place yourself amount people who are full of unbelief towards the teachings of Jesus Christ.

The fruit of the spirit cannot grow in a person who is full of unbelief toward God.

That is why you must be careful who you share your dreams with because there are a lot of dream killers just waiting for the right moment to get into your space.

Mark 6:4-6

“But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.”

Matthew 13: 57-58

“And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.”

Life will not strive in a place where it is restricted from striving. First, you must get rid of the restrictions then life will strive.

Not because you see water flowing from a stream that doesn’t mean that it is drinkable.

Let me put it another way: pure Water breeds life but if this same water becomes polluted it will breed death.

Wherever you find the faith of God you will also find the life of God but where you find unbelief you will find death and decay. 

Humanity was hardwired by God to operate by faith but when they refused to do so everything in life goes kaboom. Nothing works as it should.

Mark9:26

“And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.”

faithless people see death, but men of faith see life. 

Can these dry bones live the Lord asks Ezekiel.

Ezekiel’s answer was Lord thou knoweth.

Whatever your beliefs are; that is how you will behave and eventually who you will become. When it comes to the things of God your natural understanding and senses will not be able to function because the spiritual arena operates differently from the natural.

Your thinking must change; there is a different rule of engagement that governs the spiritual arena. The law that governs the spiritual will not hold up to the law that governs the natural because the natural man is subjected to his outer surroundings (which is composed of his natural sight, his hearing, and his emotion) while the spiritual man is subjected to his inner core (which is composed of his belief, his thoughts, and his faith).

Who you are on the inside will be the determining factor that will guarantee that you will be able to withstand the storms of life.

Prayer and fasting strengthen and increase your spiritual capacity and cause you to believe in God, for the impossible. 

Prayer and fasting hijack and shatter the plot’s orchestration of hell. The devil cannot disrupt the alignment of a man in tune with God.

Everything in this life is embodied in knowing, hearing, and obeying Jesus as Lord and King. Without him you are nothing but with him you are everything. Jesus is the reason why you are living and not destroyed.

Just keep believing and trust Jesus as the Lord of your life. Although Jesus might not tell you about a coming storm, you can be sure that he will never leave you alone in the midst of it, but he will show up to take you through it.
